Worried by the human resources shortage in the education sector, the Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) on Monday 11th April, 2022 presented letter of employment to Malam Aminu Adam Yusuf who is employed by it to teach at Shara Community Primary School, Sumaila LGA in Kano State.

In 2016, Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) discovered Shara, a remote community in Sumaila local government area of Kano State. At that time parents in the community wanted sending their children to primary school but the options before them were all tough ones.

Following series of community consultations, the community with help from CITAD, set up a community school under a tree in 2017.

Presently, a block of 2-classroom has been built by the Executive Chairman Sumaila Local Government Council, opposite to that temporary site at the main entrance of the community and along the main road that link Shara community to neighboring communities.
