Church goers in Jos have been assured the maximum security needed for successful Sunday services in different churches. The assurance was given by organised security guards of various Churches in Jos and its environs.
This pledge was made after a three days security beyond the gates organised by Police Assistance Committee (PAC) in which security guards manning security at the gates of various churches in Jos and other parts of Plateau State attended.

This pledge was made after a three days security beyond the gates organised by Police Assistance Committee (PAC) in which security guards manning security at the gates of various churches in Jos and other parts of Plateau State attended.
The session had the anti-bomb squad from Plateau State Police Command and men of the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps who were on hand to train the church security operatives on how to identify explosive materials and different types of bombs if placed near places of worships. They were also trained on how to react and get security operatives involved for immediate demobilisation.
State Commandant of Police Assistance Committee (PAC), Rev Henry King Agonsi said that the program organised by PAC to brief the church on the Plateau on the area of providing security for various churches in the state. He said that the church security guards were trained on security measures that were beyond checking worshippers’ bags and boots of cars. He added that other strategies on how to detect adversaries posing as members were taught to the church security guards.
Agonsi called on church guards to be extra vigilant while on duty during church services. He said their surveillance level should not only be within the church but surrounding areas. The commandant assured worshippers of maximum security during Sunday services in different churches and urged them to turn up en mass for service and not be deterred.
