The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), Africa had a busy week commissioning water projects in three local government areas in Plateau state, Nigeria. The organization had sunk boreholes in communities in Barkin Ladi, Jos South and Riyom Local government areas of Plateau State and dedicated December 12th &13th, 2019 to commission them.
Leading the CBN delegation was their Regional Director for West Africa, Dr Felix Osemogie and Head of Humanitarian Services, CBN, Africa, Rev John Kalma. Dr Osemogie who quoted from the the book of Jn 4:4-26 said the gift of water to any people is important, although it’s impact is only temporal. But the gift of life to a people is more important because of it is eternal. He thus invited the people to accept the gift of life in Christ Jesus, to which many responded positively to.
On his part, Rev John Kalma said the projects were cited after needs assessment of social infrastructure in the communities. He said:
“Our organization is committed to alleviating the sufferings of people across the world by providing social support.
We do this by mobilising funds from partners across the world and use same to develop communities that are in dire need”
He further called on well meaning Plateau people to identify with the Organization by donating monthly to sustain the streak of positive impact across the globe.
The benefiting communities were with unbridled joy and excitement as demonstrated in their speeches, songs and dances at they promised to make good use of the boreholes.
