Ephraim Usman describes supreme court judgement as a completion of God’s divine work on the Plateau, Congratulates the governor and the people of the state.

Plateau State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Chief Ephraim Usman has congratulated HE, Barr Caleb Mutfwang and most importantly, the good and loving people of Plateau over what he described as the divine affirmation of the Governor’s mandate by the recent decision of the Supreme Court.

In a statement personally signed by the Hon Commissioner, Chief Ephraim expressed his firm conviction that the recent decision of the Supreme Court, Nigeria’s Apex Court, is a completion of the divine work which God started on the Plateau, right from the declaration of HE Barr Caleb Mutfwang as PDP’s Governorship flag bearer and subsequently and indeed ultimately, as the duly elected Governor of Plateau State. Chief Ephraim maintains that this victory is a further confirmation of the fact that God has never and will never abandon His own project. He therefore, urges the people to continue to pray for the smooth fulfilment of God’s project on the Plateau, which began with the anointment of Gov Mutfwang to restore hope and bring back the loss glory of the State towards the achievement of the Plateau of our dreams.

While recalling the facts leading to the prolonged legal tussle, Chief Ephraim described as a blatant lie, the propaganda and well concocted conspiracy that Plateau State Chapter of the PDP was in disobedience to any Court order for the conduct of fresh Congress. Dovetailing into the 2020 judgment of Hon Justice SP Gang, Chief Ephraim wonders why our brothers on the other side of the divide would craftily carve out their Ground One and main Ground of their Petition to falsely portray that the judgment of Justice Gang ordered for the fresh conduct of Ward, Local Government and State Congresses when in fact and indeed, a CTC of the said judgment which was exhibited before the Courts clearly, in black and white and equally in plain English ordered for fresh State Congress and nothing else. Chief Ephraim also noted that the conspiracy that the order was not fully complied with because the PDP on the Plateau only conducted Congresses in 5 out of the 17 LGs and left out 12 LGs, lacks any iota of common sense as the principal beneficiary of the said judgment did not take part in any Ward or LG Congresses and as such, could not in the first place, have had the locus standi to challenge any Ward or LG Congresses. Chief Ephraim conceded that, only officials of about 12 LGs did not participate in the repeated State Congress and it was because they did not pass the necessary accreditation. Moreover, they have never approached any Court to complain because of this and Hon Kaze and all other Aspirants who were unsuccessful at the repeated State Congress did not complain to any Court, the way they did with regards to the first Congress!

He therefore, wonders where the false and repeated claim about disobedience to Court order was coming from. Chief Ephraim continued that these were lies that kept on lingering and were used by our brothers to cause confusion in the polity and the legal system but like the saying goes, no matter how fast a lie runs and how long it lingers, the truth will someday overtake and prevail over it. Chief Ephraim emphasizes that because God is involved and because the Plateau PDP has all along, been on the side of the truth and the law, the attempt to suppress the truth and replace same with falsehood fell like a park of cards. “Because the facts and the law are both on our side”, he added, “the decision of God to endorse our victory at the Supreme Court was very easy, despite all the human arsenals thrown to suppress the truth again”.

Despite the pains occasioned by the legal tussle which has now been confirmed to have been built on blatant falsehood, judicial rascality/banditry, as the Supreme Court rightly described the judgments of the Court of Appeal as not only perverse, but also fraudulent, null and void; Chief Ephraim calls on the people of Plateau State to get over the ugly experience and support HE, Governor Mutfwang with prayers and good followership for God to use the Governor to complete the project which God has started on the Plateau for the attraction of dividends of democracy and the attainment of the Plateau we all desire.
