The Catholic Archbishop of Jos, Reverend Ignatius Kaigama, has confirmed 20 inmates of the Jos prison.
During Kaigama’s visit, the Prison’s Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Stephen Akpe, appreciated the archbishop for his continuous visits and support to the inmates.
Speaking, Akpe said, “The Catholic Archbishop of Jos, Reverend Ignatius Kaigama, has confirmed the sacrament of confirmation on 20 inmates in the Jos Prison.
“He has made his visit to the prison like an immovable feast in the Catholic Church,” he said.
The Bishop also donated some items through an NGO of the archdiocese, Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC), with support from other parishes.
Rev. Akpe praised the church for the active evangelism sprouting in the State.
