BREAKING: Senator Ahmed Lawan is Nigeria’s New Senate President

Senator Ahmed Lawan Has won the Senate Presidential Election after defeating his opponent and colleague, Senator Ali Ndume

Senator Lawan received the block votes of the People’s Democratic Party Senators and some of The Senators in the opposition All Progressives Congress.

Sen. Lawan pulled 79 Votes while Sen. Ali Ndume scored 28 Votes of the 107 Senators that participated in the election.

Senator Ahmed Lawan is of the APC from Yobe State while Sen. Ndume is from Borno State.
