The Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Rotimi Akeredolu SAN of the APC has been reelected as Governor of Ondo State in the Gubernatorial Election that held on Saturday 10th October, 2020.
INEC Returning Officer for the election, Prof Idowu Olayinka at the INEC Headquarters in Akure on Sunday declared Akeredolu, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) winner having scored the highest votes and met all necessary requirements.
Gov. Akeredolu pulled 292,830 votes winning 15 of the 18 LGAs of the State to defeat his closest rival Eyitayo Jegede SAN of the PDP who got 195,791 winning 3 LGA. The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Ajayi Agboola of the ZLP pulled 69,127 votes to emerge 3rd.
Margin of win was 97,039.
