Information just trickling in indicates that Lompas hamlet in Kwi of Barkin Ladi LGA has come under severe attack in the early hours of this morning, Monday 25th June 2018. With the sounds of rapid gunfire reported from approximately 5:30am to the time of filing-in this report.

This is almost immediately before the expiration of the curfew which has been imposed by PLSG as a means of curtailing the conflict etc.

At this stage, the number of casualties remains unclear but our reporters who are in Barkin Ladi are frantically making calls to establish the situation of events.

Kwi comprises the small village settlements just behind the Yakubu Gowon international Airport.
