Gunmen this evening invaded the Nigerian Correctional Service, Jo’s Custodial Centre shooting sporadically.

At the time of filing this report, there gun battle was still ongoing and security personnel have taken over major areas around the Facility.

The invasion was to free some target inmates by the attackers.

We are yet to ascertain casualty or number of inmates who may have escaped.

The attackers are trapped in the facility while others have been neutralized by the security personnel.
