BREAKING: FULANI COMMUNITY IN PLATEAU STATE vs FG&AGF: BEROM PEOPLE HEADS TO COURT TO SEEK JOINDER

The Berom people of Plateau State have headed to the Federal High Court, Jos Division, to seek joinder in Suit No. FHC/J/CS/11/2016, filed by the Fulani community, earlier unknown to the public or the media that it was been prosecuted until, it was exposed, in which the Fulani Community in the state are claiming the sum of N30, 488, 436, 00 (Thirty Billion, Four Hundred and Eighty Eight Million, Four Hundred and Thirty Six Thousand), being alleged Special Damage/Compensation for loss of 550 Fulani Men, Women and Children, stealing or destruction of 15,116, herds of cattle, 8,207 sheep and 3,427 houses, yet, people have not seen appearance of the Defence in the matter.
The Motion for Joinder is slated for hearing tomorrow, Monday, 9/12/19, at the Federal High Court, Jos Division, since issues have been joined by parties.
REALITY gathered that, over 50 other tribes in Plateau State are also preparing their Motions to seek joinder in the matter like the Beroms.
The Plaintiffs, Ardo Ruwa Isau, Ardo Abubakar Dankahi, Suleiman Abubakar Jibrin, and M. Mohammad Ahmad on behalf of the Fulani Community of Plateau State in the face of the suit are suing the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Attorney General of the Federation.
Also on the face of the Suit No. FHC/J/CS/11/2016, dated 8th March, 2016, filed by the Fulani community, reflects that the processes of the Suit was served on the 1st and 2nd Defendants through the Attorney General of the Federation, at the Federal Ministry of Justice Plot 71B Shehu Shagari Way Abuja.
From the writ issued by M.M. Nuruddeen (Esq), of Nuruddeen & Co, whose service address is 2nd floor, Hanan Plaza plot 1259 Wuse ll Abuja, the Plaintiffs want the Federal High Court Jos Division, to:
Declare that by virtue of Article1 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights (Ratification and Enforcement) Act, the 1st Defendant (FGN) has the duty to protect the lives and property of its citizens wherever they reside in the country.
Declare that the 1st Defendant is derelict/negligent in the performance of its statutory duties and which said dereliction has caused the loss of hundreds of lives and thousands of animals and houses of the Fulani community.
The plaintiffs are also seeking for the Court to:
Order, compelling the Defendants to pay to the Plaintiffs, the sum of N30,488,436,000.00 (Thirty Billion, Four Hundred and Eighty Eight Million, Four Hundred and Thirty Six Thousand Naira), being special damage/compensation for loss of 550 Fulani men, women, and children, stealing or destruction of 15,116 herds of cattle, 8207 sheep and 3427 houses and an Order, compelling the Defendants to pay the Fulani community in Plateau State, the sum of Twenty Billion (N20, 000,000,000.00 ) Naira, as exemplary and aggravated damages.
It is to be noted that these developments are coming, despite the conveyance of forgiveness packages in Plateau state.
