The National President of Bukuru Old Student’s Association Technical (BOSAT) Bldr. Raphael C Rume, on behalf of the the National Exco and the entire BOSAT family at home and in the diaspora congratulate one of its own, Mrs Patu Mercy Wambutda on what it described as her well deserved appointment as the 23rd Principal of the Government Science and Technical college Bukuru (GTSC) popularly known as (BUTECHS).

In a statement signed by the National Publicity of BOSAT, Williams Gyang the appointment is the best in the history of the school, because apart from it being described as putting a round peck in a round hole, this is the first time a female who is also a graduate of the same institution will be heading the school.

“We are very confident and optimistic that as a woman of capacity, integrity and with your leadership qualities, you are going to change the narrative of the school.

Wishing you good health, God’s guidance, protection and above all God’s wisdom as you take over the mantle of leadership of our dear Alma-mata.” the statement said.

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF MRS PATU MERCY WAMBUTDA:

Mrs Patu graduated from BUTECHS in 1984 in MOTOR VEHICLES MECHANIC DEPARTMENT.

Mrs PATU was the first female HEAD GIRL and the first set of female admitted in the School.

She hold NCE TECH AND B.TECH all in AUTOMOBILE EDUCATION.

She has over 34 years of teaching experience.

As a professional teacher per excellence, She has served and held several positions as follows, HOD AUTOMOBILE GSTC BUKURU 1997-2018, HEAD OF TRADE, AUTO TRADES, Vice Principal GSS CHWEL-NYAP 2018- 2021.

Until her appointment as the new Principal of BUTECHS, she was the Principal GJSS CHWEL-NYAP.
