Berom Nation of the PDP Pays Solidarity and Courtesy Visit on Sen. JT Useni, Pledges Maximum Support

As the 2019 General Elections draw closer, the Candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Senator Jeremiah Timbut Useni has continued to receive immense supports and endorsements from people, ethnic groups, professionals and religious organizations.

Today, 25th November, 2018 the Berom Nation of the PDP paid him solidarity and courtesy visit to congratulate him and make electoral commitments as well as put to bare some challenges being faced by the Berom Nation for possible address by the Candidate should he emerge victorious.

The delegation said it is ready galvanize and maximize its numerical strength to enhance the victory of the Gubernatorial Candidate.

The delegation led by the Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency and PDP Senate Candidate for Plateau North, Barr. I. D. Gyang told a highly elated Sen. JT Useni that the visit has the backing and backing of Sen. Jonah David Jang and aimed at congratulating him and assure him of their support.

Rep. I. D. Gyang said the Berom in four (4) Local Government Areas of Barkin Ladi, Riyom, Jos South and Jos North are making commitment to vote the Gubernatorial Candidate, Sen. JT Useni en-mass as Governor of Plateau State. Come February, 2018 by God’s grace. “We did it during the primaries, and shall gladly do it again at the secondary election” he said.

“It is our expectation that our massive support shall attract a corresponding reciprocal gesture, commitment and presence under your administration after the victory at the polls comes February, 2019” he continued”

“The Restoration Agenda, we believe, will quicken and hasten the restoration of peace such that will engender genuine reconciliation and promote harmonious communal coexistence in our neighborhood in particular and the entire State at large. We equally pray that your coming and government, will undertake the resettlement and reintegration of displaced communities, the most affected being the Berom Nation” he added.

He said they look forward to actively participate in the campaign of the gubernatorial Candidate in any capacity that reflects their passion and commitment to his victory, which is their collective victory.

“Our prayer is for God to grant you wisdom, favor, good health and strength to prosecute the campaigns and thereafter, provide the much needed leadership that Plateau people are yearning for” Rep. I. D. Gyang said.

“It is our hope that your vast wealth of experience in governance and service of our Nation in both the military and democratic dispensation and now a serving Senator of the Federal Republic, an enviable democratic credential, shall immensely benefit Plateau State such that the dwindling fortunes, fading glory and mutilated reputation and standing of the State as the leading voice of ethnic minorities especially of the Middle Belt shall, God’s willing be restored under your leadership come 2019. Amen!” he concluded.

The Governorship Candidate, Sen. JT Useni in his remarks thanked and appreciated the Berom nation for the laudable gesture and commitment towards his campaign. He promised to do his best towards addressing the security challenges bedeviling the State, work towards unifying the State, ensuring that sacked communities are recovered and the lost glory of the State is restored if elected.

Sen. Useni said he will work together with the Berom Nation and make sure all are carried along under his administration if elected.

He said the Berom Nation is unique, very important and have critical stake in Plateau State as its people are agents of hospitality, peace, unity and transformation who are contributing immensely to the growth and development of the State and nation building. He said no sane person will jettison the Berom nation on account of its capacity.

Sen. JT Useni said he is being guided by the biblical principle which admonishes human beings to do good all the time and remain good hence his slogan “do good and you see good”

He said he is committed to taking Plateau Sate to enviable height if given the opportunity to serve.

Sen. Useni admonished them to vote massively for the Senatorial Candidate and leader of the delegation, Rep. I. D. Gyang and all other Candidates from State Assembly to the Presidency.

Director General of Jeremiah Useni Campaign Organization (JUCO), Prof. Dimis Mailiafiya applauded the Berom Nation for the visit, saying it is wonderful, intimidating and illuminating considering the number of people and critical stakeholders in the delegation. He said Sen. JT Useni if elected will ensure that capacities of the people are developed and the State is transformed to reflect the vision of our Founding Fathers.

Special prayer was made on the Candidate.

T. Useni Campaign Organization, Berom Legal Team led by Barr. Gyang Zi and many others.

The running Mate of Sen. JT Useni, Dr. James Dalok was also ground to receive the delegation.
