Berom Nation Hold Prayers to Herald 2019 Nzem Berom

As part of the events for the 2019 Nzem Berom, the Berom Nation today Sunday 12th May, 2019 held a prayer session at Church of Immaculate Conception (CIC) Zarmaganda Jos, Plateau State.

The event was well attended by Traditional Leaders, Religious Leaders, Elders, illustrious Berom Sons and Daughters.

The event featured excellent song ministration from the Berom Mass Choir and Berom Ministers Forum (BEMFO) Women Fellowship who all sang to glory God.

Chairman of the Central Planning Committee 2019 Nzem Berom, Da Engr. Dachollom Jambol in his goodwill message welcomed the people and said God’s blessings are upon the Berom Nation. He said the power of God is being demonstrated in the Berom Nation.

Da Jambol prayed for God’s intervention all through the programmes for 2019 Nzem Berom.

Speaking on behalf of the Gbong Gwom Jos, His Royal Highness, Da Patrick Mandung the Gwom Rwey Jury wished the Berom Nation a successful Nzem Berom and charged them on unity.

Guest Speaker of the occasion, Rev. Elisha D. Pam of COCIN RCC Gyel spoke on the topic “Do not fear, i am going to do a new thing” taking his reading from the book of Isaiah 43:1&19.

Rev. Elisha said God is with the Berom and hearing their supplications.

He said obedience is what God require of the Berom Nation. With that he said God thoughts will always be with the Berom.

He said the Berom nation is wonderfully, fearfully and uniquely made by God and should not be afraid or overwhelmed by the challenges they are confronting.

He said despite the Spiritual weaknesses of the Berom Nation, God remains merciful and gracious to them but was quick to admonish them to return to God in genuine repentance to partake in His abundance.

He asked the congregation to be ready for the goodness of God in the land.

He said God has heard the cries of the Berom Nation and willing to heal the land as long as the people are ready to discard their ungodly habits and concentrate on those things that are honorable in the sight of God.

Intercessory prayers were made by the Ministers of God.

Special prayers were said for the farming season.

Other events for the 2019 Nzem Berom are slated to hold as follows:

Tuesday 14th May, a Symposium titled ‘The Development Question and The Burden of History’ scheduled for Langfield Leisure Park, Rayfield from 3pm.

Wednesday 15th May 2019, Women’s Special Day and Yong dyara also yo hold at Langfield Leisure park by 2pm, which will be followed by the Zere Berom Beauty Pageant and fashion show, starting 4pm at the same venue.

Thursday 16th May, Royal Banquet and welcome dinner at Gbong Gwom Jos Palace.

The grand finale comes up on Friday 17th May which starts with the Royal procession from the Palace of the Gbong Gwom Jos to the Rwang Pam Township stadium by 8am, followed by thw Nzem Berom grand festival which will feature traditional dances, unveiling of the exotic and rich Berom kitchen, honouring and celebrating of illustrious sons and daughters who have distinguished themselves in different fields, exhibition of artefacts and inventions showcasing the vast potentials of the Berom people.

The occasion is expected to be chaired by the Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Chairlady, Brig. Gen. Florence Dung Gyang, Special Guest, Rt. Honorable Barrister Simon Bako Lalong, Executive Governor of Plateau State, other expected dignitaries are Barrister Solomon Dalung, Minister, Sports and Youth Development, Governors, Traditional Rulers Chief Executives of Ministries, Departments, Agencies and people from all works of life.

To climax the entire event, Langfield Leisure Park will host dignitaries to a music concert featuring Berom artistes.

The Nzem Berom 2019 Planning Committee is enjoining all Berom at home and in diaspora as well as all Nigerians attend this historic event.
