The Bauchi State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has described the election of Senator Bukola Saraki and Hon Yakubu Dogara as, Senate President and Speaker House of Representatives as major milestone and victory for democracy in Nigeria.

This was disclosed by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Bashir Bukar Rimin Zayam, Thursday, while briefing journalists in Bauchi.

Zayam said their election respects the wishes of the majority lawmakers in the country which is democracy where the game of majority of members was respected.

He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for being neutral, saying it will help in bringing respect and mutual understanding among the legislators and the executive.

He however advised the lawmakers to keep working in the best interest of the country.

The PDP Spokesman maintained that the two leaders have the capacity and capability to lead the two chambers of the National Assembly very well in order to bring the desired change needed for the development of the country.
