A Week after he withdrew his Membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barr. Simon Barry, a former Secretary of Mangu Local Government Council and a Chieftain of the APC, his supporters and other top Politicians have joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Chakfem Ward Mangu LGA, Plateau State.
They were warmly received by a tumultuous crowd after which he, Barr. Simon Barry and his supporters had a parley with the Ward Executives of the PDP where they pledged their total supports to the Party. They said they joined the PDP on account of the maladministration of the APC and will work for the success of the PDP at all levels.
Receiving the new Members, a highly elated Ward Chairman of the PDP in Chakfem Ward, Mr Sebastain Yonpus welcomed them and urged them to work for the success of the party in all the elections.

Barr. Barry thanked the Party Executives for the warm reception and the show of commitment by the party members. He promised to assist the party in any way possible to push the PDP to success.
They were issued new PDP membership cards amidst jubilation and chanting of PDP slogan.

Others who joined the Party in Chakfem Ward on Monday 20th February, 2023 include; Dr Daniel Mwanmut former ADP running mate in the 2019 Gubernatorial elections, Fmr General Manager NNPC, Hon. Sam Waba former Leader Mangu Legislative Council, Hon. Benedict Lahanmut a Former Councillor Chakfem Ward, Hon. Matthias Ibrahim former Supervisory Councillor of Works Mangu LGC, Mr Yoila Yilyuhur former Councillorship Candidate Chakfem Ward, Barr. Sunday Yakubu former Secretary General, Chakfem Development Association and many others that have moved on to the PDP.
