Plateau state government has placed restriction on movements at night in Local Government Areas (LGA) witnessing attacks in the state.

This order was disclosed on Tuesday in Jos by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Mr Christopher Bello.

Bello stated that the restriction which comes into effect immediately would be between 10pm and 5am daily and would cover Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Jos East, Mangu, Langtang North, Langtang South and Wase LGAs.

The permanent secretary said that security operatives have been instructed to enforce the order and beef up security across the state. He justified the reason for the action and said it was taken so as to curtail the incessant attacks across villages mostly at night.

Bello called on citizens of the state to go about their legitimate activities and be security conscious as the Government is doing everything possible to contain the resumed attacks as experienced lately.
