Approval obtained for new College of Education to be sited in Southern Plateau

The Federal Government has granted provisional approval to four new private Colleges of Education to commence operations.

This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), Professor Monday Joshua, at the weekend in Abuja.

He said the new colleges which met minimum standards and requirements set by the commission include; Oswald Waller College of Education, Shendam, Plateau State; Pan African College of Education, Offa, Kwara State; Diamond College of Education, Aba, Abia State and Bilyaminu College of Education, Dass, Bauchi State.
Professor Joshua noted that that 11 colleges had so far met the commission’s accreditation requirements and were accordingly issued accreditation certificates.
