Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Langtang Local Government Area on Wednesday passed a vote of confidence on the chairman of the council Barrister Zulfa Bitrus Rimven.

The unanimous confidence vote, which was also extended to the Plateau state Governor, Simon Lalong was moved after the party leaders meeting at the party Secretariat in Langtang.

Secretary of the APC in Langtang North Comrade Abel Nansak Nimchak stated this on Wednesday while addressing hundreds of APC stakeholders, youths and women at the Party Secretariat in Langtang.

“We are firmly behind the peace efforts of the rescue administration of Governor Simon Lalong and the good works of the Executive Chairman of Langtang North Barr. Zulfa Rimven.

The party expressed sadness over the protest by the opposition People’s Democratic Party in the state Local government stressing that they are trying to disrupt the Peace currently being enjoyed in the State.

He said the APC is a law abiding party and they will not do anything that will disrupt the peace in the Local government.

He called on Hon. Joshua Laven to stop parading himself as the chairman of Langtang North LGC and also warned him to avoid sponsoring thugs to protest to disrupt the peace of the Local Government.

“We are calling on security agencies to arrest anybody that is trying to truncate the peace we are enjoying in Langtang, and bring them to book.

He assured that the APC is a peace loving party that will not tow the line of the opposition by going to the streets and doing what is counterproductive to the land.

Also speaking the APC Youth Leader
Hon. Naloh Joseph Dashe said the APC won the chairmanship of Langtang local Government and he was sworn in as the council boss.

He appealed to the Plateau State Police Commissioner to open the Local Government Secretariat for Hon. Zulfa Rimven to continue with his constitutional responsibility for the development of the Locality.

He said the people and the Party in general are proud of the laudable achievements of the governor across all sectors of the state and we unanimously pass a vote of confidence on the Lalong administration and Hon Zulfa.
