It was a lovely evening event today 26th October, 2018 at Silk Suites Zarmaganda-Rayfield Road Jos, Plateau State as ALPS Hospitals and Diagnostics brought together family, Friends, Clients, the Media, Ministers of God and Medical Associates to its one year anniversary.
The event was well attended and guests were treated to superb Dinner.
The Medical Director of ALPS, Dr. Kenneth Egwuda is a Consultant, IVF/ART Specialist, Minimal Access Surgeon and Reproductive Biologist.
Dr. Kenneth who gave the history of the Medical Facility thanked clients, friends from the Media, friends from the Bank, Medical Practitioners, Clergies, family members, management and staff of ALPS Hospitals.
He said the history of ALPS Hospitals is dated back to the then Gynaeville Specialist Hospital which later metamorphosed to ALPS Hospitals and Diagnostics.
He said the Hospital officially got registered with CAC in October, 2017 and commenced operation with 13 Staff.
He said presently the Hospital has 24 permanent staff and 10 contract staff.
He said his staff consists of persons with high pedigree, capacity and competence in various fields of endeavor.
He spoke about the achievements and successes recorded so far and attributed same to God, staff of the hospital and clients. One of the major breakthroughs include when they delivered a 63 year old woman of baby girl conceived through IVF. The woman happens to be African’s oldest IVF Mother, after 38 years of marriage without a child.
He said they have trained and developed two embryologists who happens to be among the most outstanding in this part of the Country.
Dr. Kenneth said within a year, they were able to set up a radio Diagnostic unit which renders general ultrasound services and mammography unit equipped with state of the art facilities to help in early detection of breast cancer in women.
He said they have extended their expertise to neighboring States such as Kano State which celebrated the birth of its first IVF Baby during the anniversary of Nigeria’s independence.
He said ALPS Hospitals and Diagnostics carries out about 35-40 IVF treatment cycles monthly since it commenced operation.
He said their future plans is to see that people stay young for a longer period of time.
Three Staff of the Hospital namely Stephen Makinde, Roseline Yakubu and Sunny Promise were awarded as Outstanding Staff.
Prophet El-Buba and his wife were at hand to celebrate the event.
Those who spoke at the event commended Dr. Kenneth and his staff for the exceptional services they are rendering saying they are doing wonderful works and meeting the fertility and other health needs of the people.
Comedian Funny G who anchored the event alongside Faith Uyi Minister thrilled the Guests with hilarious jokes which got them laughing uncontrollably.
The event climaxed with the cutting of anniversary cake by all staff of ALPS Hospitals.
Guests were later treated to Luncheon.
His Wife, Dr. Comfort Egwuda in her closing remarks thanked God Almighty, all those present, the staff and clients for the successes being recorded so far.
