Following the gruesome murder of the Plateau State APC publicity secretary Mr. Sylvanus Namang on Sunday the 18th of February 2024 in Pankshin Local Government Area, Mr. Alfred Dapal has expressed deep sadness and shock.

Mr. Dapal in a media release made available to pressmen men condemns what he described as “callous, barbaric, and wicked” the murder of the APC scribe. Mr. Dapal also condemns the attempted abduction and subsequent murder of Mr. Sunny Best a popular Bar owner and businessman in Pankshin which occurred the same day and same time as that of Hon. Namang.

While calling on the government and security forces to expedite action and ensure the arrest of those who committed the crime, Mr. Dapal has expressed his deepest sympathy to the immediate family of Hon. Sylvanus Namang, the people of Mangu the APC family as well as the immediate family and Igbo community of Pankshin.

“Apparently, we are living in hard and troubling times. Gunmen are unleashing terror on innocent people legitimately pursuing their daily goals. This is more than tragic. I offer my condemnation of the murder of Hon. Namang and Mr. Sunny Best who have both contributed immensely to Plateau State. I implore the government and security forces to expedite action and not rest on their oars in bringing to justice the perpetrators of this evil. I equally encourage the people of Plateau State to be law-abiding and report suspicious activities so that collectively, we can get rid of insecurity festering in our communities.” Mr. Dapal concluded.

Alfred Dapal Expresses Sympathy over Hon. Sylvanus Namang’s Gruesome Murder, Calls for Arrest of Perpetrators
