Press Release
15th January, 2020
On behalf of the good people of my constituency, Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, I Rep. Dachung Musa Bagos wishes to thank the Almighty God for the release of Jennifer Ukambong Samuel and 4 others who were released on the 15/01/2020.
I also wish to commend most assuredly, the Member representing Mangu/Bokkos in the House of Representatives, Hon. Solomon Maren for his doggedness and efforts, stakeholders including but not limited to; Federal Government & Plateau State Government respectively, security agencies, civil society organizations, religious groups and faith base organisations as well as spirited individuals who took out valuable time and resources in adding there voices to release of these patriotic and resourceful Nigerians.
As we continue to pray for those still in custody, It is my belief and hope that the security apparatus of this country who have done marvelously well in securing the release of Jennifer, will redouble their efforts in securing the release of our own daughter, Miss Lillian Gyang, by members of Boko Haram. Lilian is a 100-level student of the University of Maiduguri, who hails from Barkin Ladi Council Area of Plateau State, and was returning to school from the Christmas and New year celebrations when the terrorists abducted her at a village near Maiduguri.
Coming at the heels of a memorable day such as today; when Nigerians are remembering the heroics and gallantry of our fallen heroes, we are confident that Nigeria will win the war on terror and terrorists very soon.
We however call for more proactive and productive results from all critical stakeholders in mitigating the scourge of Boko Haram in our Country.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Rep.Dachung Musa Bagos
Member Representing Jos South/ Jos East Federal Constituency, Abuja
