Members of the Jos South Local Government Legislative Council have passed a vote of confidence on the Leader of the House and Councilor representing Kushen Ward, Hon. Chomoshen Emmanuel, citing his outstanding performance and quality representation.
During the House plenary, the Deputy Leader of the House and Councilor representing Bukuru Ward, Hon. Pam Joseph, explained that Hon. Emmanuel’s positive contributions in uniting the House have earned him widespread respect across party lines.
He commended the Leader for his inclusive approach, legislative diligence, and commitment to the collective interest of Jos South Local Government Area.
The vote of confidence reaffirms the Lawmakers’ support for Hon. Emmanuel’s leadership as the 7th Assembly continues to prioritize unity, development, and effective grassroots representation.
The Lawmakers recalled how the Leader of the House has peacefully steered the ship of the House as one family.
Similarly, during the plenary, the Lawmakers endorsed the Leader of the House, Hon. Chomoshen Emmanuel as their consensus candidate for the 2027 Jos South House of Assembly seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This followed a motion moved by the Majority Leader of the House and Councilor representing Du-B ward, Hon. Ishaya Chuwang during the days sitting and seconded by the Councilor representing Turu-B ward, Hon. Sarah Pam.
The members emphasized that their decision to adopt the Leader as their sole candidate is based on his proven integrity, legislative impact, and high-quality representation.
The Lawmakers pledged their readiness to canvass votes for their colleague to ensure he wins the 2027 House of Assembly seat for the Jos South Constituency.
Responding, the Leader of the House, Hon. Chomoshen Emmanuel appreciated their colleagues for the confidence reposed in him and for unanimously supporting his aspiration.
The leader who was full of joy and happiness described the endorsement as both humbling and energizing.
He pointed out that if given the opportunity to represent Jos South Constituency in 2027, he will provide a qualitative and visible result-oriented representation.
Hon. Chomoshen called on citizens to continue to support the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang to succeed in delivering quality services to the people.
