Friends Pay Tribute to Philip Eplong, Press Secretary to Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly

A group of friends under the aegis of Like Minds Friends has honoured Mr. Philip Eplong the Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, in recognition of his commitment to duty and meticulous service since assuming office.

The group commended him for effectively projecting the image of the Plateau State House of Assembly and the state at large in a positive light to the outside world.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the group, Mr. Hycienth Shaimuk, lauded Eplong’s dedication and consistent display of professionalism. He described him as an astute technocrat who has served in various capacities, contributing significantly to the journalism profession and community development.

Shaimuk also appreciated the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Daniel Naanlong, for finding their friend worthy of appointment as Press Secretary, expressing confidence that Eplong will continue to justify the trust reposed in him through impactful service.
He, however, urged the celebrant not to relent or fall short of expectations, but to sustain the confidence placed in him by delivering purposeful and result-oriented performance.

In his response, Mr. Eplong expressed deep appreciation to the group for the honour and their unwavering support, noting that the recognition would further motivate him to do more. He pledged to remain committed to adding value to governance, while promoting transparency and accountability.

The brief but colourful ceremony, held at the Solomon Lar Amusement Park in Jos, featured the presentation of a portrait to the Press Secretary and special prayers offered in his honour.
