The Managing Director (MD) Fan Milk Nigeria, Mr Kayode Adebiyi initiated a relationship between the company and TA Lagbaja Cantonment community through a courtesy visit on Brigadier General Olawale Matthew Oyekola at Headquarters 9 Brigade on 10 September 2025.

The MD who could not hold back his satisfaction on the ongoing transformational projects within the Cantonment pledged to contribute the company’s own quota through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the community. Mr Adebiyi specifically mentioned that Fan Milk is a health and nutritional produce company with over 60 years of existence spanning rich integrations with the host community.

Mr Adebiyi said, though they are not in structural development industry but he is amazed with various projects ongoing in the Cantonment and believe that Fan Milk could equally play its own CSR role in ensuring healthy and nutritious living for the residence especially the children. He appreciated the military for remaining one of the stand-out arms of national structure whose sacrifices and services are unrepayable.

In his response, Brigadier General Matthew Oyekola thanked the MD for initiating the visit in order to identify with 9 Brigade Nigerian Army. He remarked that the efforts of Army Headquarters at renaming and giving much needed facelift/aesthetics to the Cantonment main gate have attracted lots of interests from the government, some individuals and corporate bodies.

The Commander used the visit to appreciate those currently adding values to TA Lagbaja Cantonment through a series of intervention projects. Brigadier General Oyekola said that the idea of having Fan Milk Nutritional Day in the schools within the Cantonment would key into the soldier first mantra of the Chief of Army Staff as it would have direct bearing on the welfare of the soldiers’ children.
