Heads of Security Agencies in Plateau State have expressed profound appreciation to Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for his firm commitment to strengthening security and fostering peace in the state.
They acknowledged that the Governor’s consistent support, resolute leadership, and dedication to a united and peaceful Plateau have significantly motivated them to deploy their expertise towards sustaining the prevailing peace.
The security chiefs, led by the Coordinator of Operation Rainbow and Special Adviser on Security, Brigadier General Gakji Goshwe Shipi (Rtd), made these remarks during a courtesy visit to mark the 60th birthday of Governor Mutfwang.
Brig. Gen. Shipi noted that under Governor Mutfwang’s administration, security agencies in the state have received unprecedented support, including monthly interventions provided without solicitation. This assistance, he said, has enhanced their operational efficiency and capacity to secure lives and property.
“For the first time, without making requests, security agencies are assured of support at the end of the month. This is also the first time that security vehicles are being regularly repaired, motorcycles are provided, and other essential working tools are made available to enhance security management in the state,” he stated.
In his remarks, Governor Caleb Mutfwang expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Security Chiefs for their dedication to ensuring the safety of lives and property in Plateau State.
He also commended the heads of security agencies operating within the state for their professionalism and commitment, which have contributed to the restoration of peace.
“Today, Plateau State is being celebrated for the return of peace, and that would not have been possible without your tireless efforts and collaboration. Your patriotism and passion for your duty have made this achievement a reality,” the Governor said.
Governor Mutfwang further extended appreciation to the Security Chiefs at the national level for their unwavering support.
“I also want to thank the Security Chiefs in Abuja, whose backing has enabled you to perform your duties effectively. Without the support of the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Air Staff, the Director General of the DSS, the Comptroller-General of Immigration, the Commandant-General of the Civil Defence, and other service chiefs, we would not have achieved this level of stability,” he emphasized.
He described the relationship between the Plateau State Government and security agencies as a family-oriented partnership, reiterating his administration’s continued commitment to supporting security operations for the sustenance of peace.
