Senator Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang Champions National Values and Leadership for Nigeria’s Advancement at NIPSS Event

The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, played host to the National Values and Leadership Course, a collaborative initiative by the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Tomruk iHub Multiverse, and Dakrisbenic Foundation for Unity and Development in Africa (DAFUDA). The event brought together policymakers, thought leaders, and stakeholders to deliberate on the critical role of values and leadership in Nigeria’s progress.

Distinguished Senator (Prince) Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang, representing Plateau North Senatorial District, delivered a goodwill message at the occasion, emphasizing the importance of strong national values and effective leadership in shaping Nigeria’s future. He lauded the initiative as a significant step toward fostering unity, accountability, and visionary leadership in the country.

“The strength and prosperity of any nation are deeply rooted in the shared values of its people and the quality of its leadership. The National Values Charter (NVC) embodies these principles, guiding us toward a brighter future,” Senator Dachungyang stated.

He stressed the need for Nigerians to embrace values such as equality, justice, hard work, and service, urging both leaders and citizens to translate these ideals into practical commitments in governance and everyday life. He highlighted the challenges facing the nation and called for collective efforts in upholding the rule of law, fostering tolerance, and promoting national development.

Attributing the event’s success to the dedication of its organizers, Senator Dachungyang commended NOA, Tomruk iHub Multiverse, and DAFUDA for their unwavering commitment to nurturing transformative leadership in Nigeria.

“To the participants, I encourage you to seize this opportunity with enthusiasm, engage meaningfully in the discourse, and channel the knowledge gained into actionable steps for the advancement of our nation,” he urged.

The senator concluded by expressing hope that the course would inspire a new generation of leaders to champion integrity, purpose, and progress, ultimately building a Nigeria founded on unity and shared prosperity.

Notable resource persons at the event which was held from 12th to 14th March included Dr. Otive Igbuzor, Prof. Elias Lamle, and Mr. Lanre Issa Onilu, Director-General of NOA. With a drive to empower leaders with skills in ethical governance, social cohesion, and national development. Topics include the National Values Charter, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and inclusive decision-making.
