The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has said that the message of Christmas is a message of peace, hope, grace and love.
He made this disclosure in Abuja on 13th December, 2024 during the Commission’s 2024 Christmas Carol held at the Commission’s corporate headquarters in Abuja.
The NCPC boss expressed optimism that the Lord would restore all the cankerworms that the locust had eaten in the lives of Nigerians.
He reaffirmed that there would be Pilgrimage this year even when many thought it was not going to be possible, “but because Emmanuel, God is with us will never abandon us”, he said.
According to him, ” our Pilgrimage starting on 22nd December will be a resounding success”, he assured.
The NCPC boss cashed in on the Christmas Carol to pray for the well being of President Bola Tinubu, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the nation, the success of the Commission upcoming Main Pilgrimage exercise, the Board and staff of the Commission.
He commended the tenacity, resilience and commitment of staff of the Commission. He wishes them good health, stating that they would celebrate the Christmas in felicity. thus he wishes them merry Christmas and a prosperous new year in advance.
Additionally, he said “” 2025 is your year of unending grace, your year of greater accomplishments, it shall be well with you”.
It is instructive to emphasize that this is the first Christmas Carol to be celebrated under the leadership of Bishop Stephen Adegbite in NCPC and the nature of the celebration vividly describes the character of leadership of his administration as it was celebrated with pomp and pageantry by the staff and friends of the Commission under a convivial atmosphere.
A representative of the Board of the Commission, the Federal Commissioner representing the South East , Hon Chief Clement Nweke joined the Executive Secretary and staff to savour the melodious and sonorous tunes of the season.He read the third lesson at the Carol taken from the Gospel of Matthew Chapter 1: from verses 18 to 25.
