This is a route we’ve walked before, so now we see these young ones as an extension of ourselves.
He said in terms of training, they get the best because we have very good coaches who have played at the highest level and are now passing on their knowledge. As the director, I also bring a lot of experience and a professional touch to everything we do.
One thing we don’t do at Wilda’s football academy is take shortcuts. I’m particularly angry with the trend in the Nigerian League, where people talk about paying money to get players into clubs. We don’t do that. We focus on training players thoroughly. Once they are ready, we project them to clubs in Nigeria and abroad.
