The Peoples Democratic Party in Plateau State has so far won 10 chairmanship seats in the election conducted on Wednesday.
The Chairman, Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission,Hon. Plangji Daniel Cishak made this known while announcing the election results of the just concluded Local Government Council Elections in the State.
The Chairman, while announcing the results at the Commission’s Headquarters stated that the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) so far has won 10 out of the 17 LGA chairmanship positions.
He said the LGAs are Mikang , Shendam, Bassa ,Riyom ,Jos South, Jos East ,Kanam, Quanapan ,and Langtang South and Barkin Ladi.
He said the other results still expected are Jos North , Pankshin, Kanke, Bokkos, Wase, Mangu and Langtang North.
He said the election which was held yesterday across the state went smoothly without hitches and was adjudged to be free, fair and credible.
