The ever growing All Progressives Congress in Bokkos has continued to gather momentum as the party maintains it’s status as the most favorite to clinch the forthcoming Local Government Chairmanship and Councillorship elections in the Area.
The Zone “B” Campaign held at the old market square, Daffo town witnessed a mammoth crowd of party leaders, supporters and admirers full of optimism to vote the APC on the 9th October, 2024.
Former Governor of Plateau State and Chairman of Bokkos APC Chairmanship Campaign Council, Chief Joshua Dariye, assured APC supporters of victory. With him leading from the front as he emphatically echoed thrice that Bokkos LGA remains a no-go-area for the PDP to the applause and admiration of the masses.
Director General of the campaign, Hon. Samuel Damla charged the people to remain resolute in their support for the party and to ensure they vote and protect their votes wholeheartedly.
The Chairmanship Candidate in the election, Hon. Francis Mangai (Sango), the Daffo homeboy and starboy appreciated the people for the acceptability and massive show of love. He highlighted the key agenda’s that will be given priority which includes but not limited to; Peace and Security, Agriculture, Women and Youths empowerment and infrastructural development.
In a remarkable turn of events, a Chieftain of the PDP, Alhaji Musa Minister led 200 others decampees from the PDP to APC.
According to them, the irredeemable impunity and impositions in the party has warranted them to dump the party to find peace and solace in the APC, as they promised to work assiduously for the APC to win with a landslide in Zone.
Other notable speakers at the event are; Hon. Rufus Bature represented by the State Deputy Chairman of the party, Chief James Donchin, State woman leader of the party represented by Mrs Larai Kwarsen, Bokkos LGA women Leader, Mrs. Felicia Ajoro, Executive Chairman, Bokkos LGA, Hon. Joseph Guluwa, Ardo Yakubu amongst others.
In their separate remarks, they encourage the people to come out en masse on election to vote the APC and protect their votes.
