Today marks a significant milestone in Kuru land as Dr. Giwa Jos, one of the community’s distinguished sons, lays the foundation for a computer library at Berom Community Secondary School, Kuru. This initiative is a testament to our collective vision and commitment to creating a brighter future for all. The library is set to become a hub for learning, innovation, and growth, providing access to technology and digital resources that will bridge the gap and open doors to new opportunities.
During the foundation-laying ceremony, Dr. Giwa Jos stated, “I am building this facility to serve as a learning space for knowledge and further enhance the learning of our younger ones with skills that will enable them to fully participate and compete in a digital world.”
Dara Dudu Gyang, the BECO President Worldwide, congratulated Dr. Giwa and encouraged the community to support this significant project. He admired Dr. Giwa’s zeal and prayed for more grace. Additionally, the Acting Gwom Rwey Kuru congratulated Dr. Giwa for his generous contribution to the community.Friends accompanying Dr. Giwa were inspired by his example and committed to undertaking similar projects in their communities.
A cash donation of ₦100,000 was made immediately by one of Dr. Giwa’s friends, followed by a donation of 1,000 blocks, with more contributions continuing to pour in.
The project was initiated by BECO, Kuru District, and is sponsored by Dr. Giwa Jos. Rwas Dalyop Nyako, BECO Chairman for Kuru District, thanked Dr. Giwa for embracing this initiative and prayed for God’s blessings to help him complete the project.
The principal of the school, Mr. Dakan, also expressed his appreciation for Dr. Giwa’s benevolence to the community.
