The Governor of Plateau State on Thursday 8th August, 2024 at the Old Government House Rayfield allocated 100 Motorcycles, Raincoats and Rain Boots to Heads of some security agencies in the State to help them in their efforts to enhance security of lives and property of the Citizens.

While handing over the items to the security agencies, Gov. Mutfwang hinted that the gesture is a deliberate effort to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of surveillance in rural communities with challenging terrains that are difficult to be accessed by security personnel in times of insecurity. He reiterated the commitment of his administration towards the security of lives and property of the Citizens of the State and disclosed that the items will make significant gains in security of the State. Supporting our security agencies with essential logistics, particularly in rural areas, is crucial for safeguarding our farmers and ensuring they can cultivate enough food for our people” Governor Mutfwang remarked.

The Governor also highlighted the state’s substantial investment in advanced technology to address the various security challenges facing Plateau State. He urged the security personnel to ensure the motorcycles used for the purpose they were provided for.

Arc.
