In a strategic move to reposition Plateau State as a premier investment destination, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang says his administration is creating a conducive environment for lawful businesses to thrive.
Receiving the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Ms. Aisha Rimi, at the Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, Governor Mutfwang expressed the state’s readiness to build relationships with reputable global organizations to unlock the state’s economic potentials for national benefit.
He reiterated Plateau state’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment and nurturing Public-Private Partnerships to drive sustainable development.
Governor Mutfwang highlighted Plateau’s strategic position within the North-Central region and as the gateway to Nigeria’s Northeastern region and called for urgent rehabilitation of roads to enhance business interconnectivity in the region.
He noted that Plateau is home to Africa’s second-largest urban wildlife park, which can significantly boost the state’s tourism potential and serve as a key driver of economic growth and development.
Ms. Aisha Rimi stated that her visit was part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with states across the Federation.
She reaffirmed the NIPC’s commitment to working with the Plateau State Government to unlock opportunities crucial for driving and sustaining economic growth in Plateau and Nigeria.
The strategic engagement focused on Plateau State’s rich potentials in agriculture, mining, ecotourism, energy, and other sectors, which offer abundant opportunities across the value chain.
