Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, attended the Passing Out Parade of the 86th Regular Recruit Intake of the Nigerian Army at the RSM Hama-Kim Parade Ground, Depot Nigerian Army, Zaria, Kaduna State.
In an address at the event, the Chief of Army Staff, Major Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja charged the soldiers to uphold the Nigerian Army’s values.
The Chief of Army Staff thanked Governor Mutfwang for his presence and commended his commitment to transformative leadership in Plateau State. He also appreciated the Kaduna State Government for their consistent support to Nigerian Army training institutions located in the state.
Representing Governor Mutfwang, Hon. Ziphion Chrysanthus, Liaison Director MDAs and Security Agencies, addressed the Plateau contingent, urging them to uphold professionalism and dedication in their service as ambassadors of Plateau State.
Governor Mutfwang assured the young soldiers of his administration’s full support, and encouraged them to excel and make impactful contributions in the Nigerian Army and the nation at large. He expressed pride in their achievements and confidence in their potentials.
Private Friday and Nehemiah Moses, speaking on behalf of their fellow soldiers, expressed gratitude for the support from the Plateau State Government and extended prayers for the success of Governor Mutfwang’s administration.
The event underscored the positive influence of leadership on citizens’ lives, as was evident in the joy of the newly recruited soldiers at the Passing Out Parade.
Dignitaries present included the Governor of Kaduna State, represented by Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarabe, His Royal Highness Emir of Zazzau, the General Officer Commanding 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, Principal Staff Officers from the Army Headquarters, Commanders of Formations, families, and friends of the newly passed out soldiers.
