Former Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Hon. Damian Dongna’an Shekarau has congratulated the Governor of Plateau State, his Deputy Ngo Josephine Piyo and Cabinet on their remarkable one Year in Office.
He commended the Governor for the strategies being deployed to reposition the State, transform it and make it viable economically.

He lauded the development strides being pursued by the present administration in the State and expressed optimism that the right steps are being taken to restore the lost glory of the State.

Hon. Damian Shekarau stated that notable among the achievements of the Governor since he took over the mantle of leadership are; ongoing road projects that is transforming the State, reactivation of the transport sector as seen in the acquisition of Shuttle Buses, Tin City Metro Buses and the Rail Transport that is now fully operational.
He commended the plan by the Governor to ensure that persons displaced from their ancestral lands by Terrorists are resettled back.
Hon. Damian said the award of contracts for the construction of over a hundred blocks of Classrooms and renovation of dilapidated School building is another major achievement which depicts how the present administration place high premium on education.
He said ongoing plan to revive moribond industries and tourist sites is commendable as it is capable of boosting the revenue generation of the State and ending the over-reliance on crude oil and the Federation Account as it has been the tradition.

“Health Sector, youth, agriculture through the timely provision of farm inputs for the farming season and women development are given utmost priority, this is welcomed and a step in the right direction. The Governor is demonstrating capacity in governance, providing sound and exceptional leadership to the State in an effort to better the State and lives of the Citizens. Sincerely speaking, the Governor has domesticated integrity, accountability and transparency in governance in the State and that is worthy of applaud.
“We will continue to support his vision of achieving a more united and prosperous State and advice where and when necessary as patriotic Citizens whose interest is for the common good of the Citizens. All these are indications that the Governor is well prepared and ready to deliver on his campaign promises to the people of Plateau State”

The Stalwart expressed optimism that the Governor will transform the State and take it to enviable heights.
