News filtering in from our source in Jos suggests that at least 8 people have died, following the collapse of a school building on Sunday in the Bukuru areas of Jos South.

The report suggests that a building in a school in Bukuru called the Abu Naima Primary and Secondary School collapsed on Sunday, whilst pupils were being taught, killing 8 and wounding scores. The incident was reported to have occurred this evening at about 6pm.

Our source further confirmed that all 8 bodies had been recovered and scores of pupils (mostly between 9 – 11 years old) were injured and therefore rushed to hospital for treatment.

At the time of filing this report, rescue effort were still ongoing.
