In preparation for the upcoming 2023 Population and Housing Census, the members of National Census Publicity Committee led by the Director-General of National Orientation Agency, Nigeria. (NOA), Dr. Garba Abari paid an advocacy visit to the Kano Emirate Council in Kano, Nigeria.

The team comprising Heads of Agencies under the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, representatives of Civil Society Organizations and other relevant agencies, and the Director of Public Affairs Department of the Commission were received by the Madaki Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Labahni at the Emir of Kano Palace.

National Census Publicity Committee has the mandate to carry out public enlightenment and education through advocacy visits and strategic engagement with key stakeholders and solicit support for the successful conduct of the 2023 Census.
