The Brief Historical Background of Christ Apostolic College, Kuba from 1981 to Date

The idea of establishing this great institution was first of all founded by Evangelist Lukas Familoni as far back as early eighties, being the first visioneer, the Proprietor of Bible Training School Kuba. It was more of Theological College, where the school was based on Theological disciplines. As of then, the proprietor was using CAC Kuba small church and some of the classes were extended to EKAS church Kuba, presently known as Church of Christ in Nations COCIN where students received their lessons.

The Process of Establishing Christ Apostolic College Kuba

When the founding father. Evang Lukas Familoni was about leaving Kuba to his place of abode in 1983 , he called on the attention of the Church which was at Bokkos Area at that time in finding a way to hand over the Church, which however, the Church reasoned with him, following the due process in acquiring the school from him. The Co-founding fathers as at then were: Late Pst. S.A Akilling who played a vital role in nurturing the school when the Bible Training School was handed to the Church. Late Baba Akilling’s effort about the school made some of the District Superintendents (DS) to sacrifice their salaries for some months in ensuring that the school grow to enviable heights, as at the time, Bokkos Area was headed by late Baba Pst. S.A Akilling. Other Co-founding fathers were Late. Pst. Silas Guluwa, who roofed half of the school free of charge, right from SS II to the examination hall. Rtd. Pst. A.A Abotal Rtd. Pst. Luka Masok, Late Pst. Irmiya Magit, and Pst. Y.Y Dantes. In fact these Co-founding fathers stood their ground in ensuring the survival of this noble college.

As parents and guardians began to recognize the importance and the desires for qualitative education for their wards, more children were enrolled into the school and with this development, the need for the expansion of the school necessitated for the movement of the school from temporary site to its permanent site. The first structure erected was the long block build by the students from SS 2, 3 and the exams hall, while from the staff room to JSS 3 classes were built by the Church Areas we had as at then, that is Bokkos Area, Kuba Area, Kwatas Area, Tangur Area, Daffo Area and Richa Area respectively. There was an examination hall from SS 1, 2 and 3 classes.
