The management committee secretary of Jos -North Local Government Council Hon. Shehu Usman has sued for peaceful coexistence amongst citizens so that the government to deliver on its campaign promises.

He solicited the cooperation of Muslims and Christians toward the restoration of permanent peace by reiterating government’s desire to support and  partner with security agencies to check influx of foreigners in the state.

Usman stated this Monday after a brief interview with Journalists at the council secretariat.

He said the administration will reach out to all the communities towards improving the living standard of the people.

According to him, we shall give priority to the payments of salary and wages and also ensure that Muslims and Christians are living in peace by avoiding crisis in the area.

“We are going to work hand in hand with the security apparatus to check influx of suspected Boko Haram into the state “.

Usman appealed to the people of the Jos North Local Government to support the transition committee so that they can achieve their set goal of managing the affairs of the council.

He encouraged the community to partner with the council in the area of good hygiene by clearing all the drainages around their area to avoid flood disaster during the raining season.

Hon Shehu Usman who is one of APC chieftain in Jos North expressed confidence that the government of Bar. Simon Lalong is ready to bring development to the grassroots sport.

“You will recall that, Governor Simon Lalong recently appointed Hon. Theresa Azi as the chairman while Hon. Shehu  Usman became secretary of the council respectively.

In the early hours of Monday sons and daughters of the council besieged the headquarter to witness the official swearing ceremony of Mrs Theresa Azi and Hon Shehu Usman who were sworn-in to spearhead the leadership for one year.
