The Director General of the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (PLASCHEMA) Dr. Fabong Jemchang Yildam has described as false an online Publication that the Agency Personal data of thousands of Plateau State residents is exposed on health care agency portal.

Dr. Yildam during a Press Conference in Jos on Saturday pointed out that the claim by the online known as Website Planet to have discovered beneficiaries’ information in the open during their web mapping project does not hold.

“Sequel to recent reports that emerged on some online platforms on 20th July 2022 alleging data breach of beneficiaries of Plateau State Social Health Insurance Scheme, the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (PLASCHEMA) hereby categorically states that the data of all our beneficiaries are secure and intact.

“PLASCHEMA places a very high premium on the Data of our beneficiaries. We do not for any reason condone unwarranted access to the personal data of beneficiaries. We shall not rest until we unravel any malicious third party that is attempting to undo PLASCHEMA.

“We want to seize this opportunity to express our gratitude to Daser David, DG of Plateau State ICT Development Agency (PICTDA) whose team has worked with us from our inception to ensure our systems are properly set up and our technology operations are secure, end-to-end.

“We wish to enjoin all residents of Plateau State to key into the State Social Health Insurance Scheme that eliminates catastrophic out of pocket spending. At PLASCHEMA, our goal is to ensure that no one is left behind.
