Plateau State Bye-elections: “PDP Performance, an Indication of Party’s Popularity and Acceptability in the State” – Hon. Chris Hassan

The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Hon. Chris Hassan has described the performance of the PDP during the just concluded bye-elections in Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency and Pankshin South State Constituency as a pointer to the success of the Party in future elections and an indication of the party’s popularity and acceptability by the citizens across the State.

Hon. Hassan made these known at a Press Briefing on Sunday 27th February, 2022 at the PDP Secretariat Yakubu Gowon Way Jos, Plateau State.

He said the victory of the PDP and overall performance is an evidence that the Party is enjoying wide acceptability.

He appreciated the Electorates for their steadfastness and believing in the party and entrusting it with their mandate to represent them at the National Assembly.

He said the outcome of the Pankshin South Constituency bye-election will be challenged considering the cancellation of votes in PDP stronghold.

He called on the people to continue to accord greater support to the party.

The Member-elect Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency who is the Member representing Rukuba/Irigwe Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Musa Agah thanked the people for the trust and confidence reposed in him and promised not to disappoint them but provide credible representation being a serving Legislator.

He lauded the Electoral Umpire for conducting free, fair and credible Election.

Former Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Da Sen. Jonah Jang CON has called on all warring factions of the party to sheath their swords, unite and work towards reclaiming the State and Nation at large.

“I want us to unite and work assiduously as a team to reclaim little Rayfield Jos and Aso Rock in 2023” he said.

The elder statesman called on those deceiving people that he has endorsed some persons for the 2023 elections to desist saying he is a Father to all and will support all those who emerge Candidates after the Primaries.

Sen. Jang said the ruling party is bereaved of ideas on governance reason why the citizens are going through hardships.
He charged those aspiring for elective positions in 2023 especially the Governorship under the PDP to work harder and attract more people to the Party.
