Senator I. D Gyang the Senator representing Plateau North has welcomed Senator Tunde Ogbeha, the Chairman and other members of the Care Taker Committee appointed by the National Working Committee of the PDP to oversee the affairs of the Party in Plateau State pending the conduct of a fresh State Congress.
In a statement signed by Musa Ibrahim Ashoms, Special Assistant, Media & Protocol to Senator I. D. Gyang, Esq.
Senator Gyang says he is satisfied with the good work the CTC has done in the conduct of free, fair and very transparent Primary Elections and congresses at the Ward and Local Government levels that saw to the emergence of Chairmanship and Councillorship Candidates of the Party across the State .
The Senator urges the CTC to remain consistent and replicate this success in the soon to be conducted State Congress.
Senator Gyang heartily congratulates all the Candidates of the PDP statewide and in particular those of Bassa, B/Ladi, Jos East, Jos North, Jos South and Riyom which constitute Plateau North.
Senator Gyang however, expresses concern over the undemocratic posturing, utterances, conduct and actions of PLASIEC particularly its shocking and ill advised decision of denying candidates of the PDP nomination forms which amounts to the exclusion of the PDP from participation in the Plateau State 2021 Local Government Elections.
The Senator says he is aware that the PDP has not been deregistered by INEC to warrant being excluded from the Local Government Elections.
He cautions the PLASIEC Chairman and Commissioners not to tow the path of infamy by denying the people of Plateau state their Constitutional right to vote and be voted for in any Political Party of their choice.
The Senator assures the people of Plateau state that the PDP will not sit by and allow a day light rape of Nigeria’s hard earned democracy by anti-democratic forces. He calls on the people to remain enthusiastic and come out en-mass to vote all the PDP Candidates in the Local Government Elections.
