Inauguration of Coalition of Ethnic Youths nationalities Plateau North


Unity in diversity as it was said by every speaker that graced the inauguration of the plateau North coalition of Ethnic Nationalities held at TEKAN Headquarters Jos.


The event which was in Grand style follow a top-bottom approach in strict compliance with COVID-19 protocol, Chairman of the occasion the RT Hon Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly in his opening remarks spurred the Youths on the need to be ambassadors of peace while representing their various Ethnic Nationalities he was ably represented by the Member Irigwe-Rukuba constituency Hon Musa Agah who doubled as the personality of Honor.


The Guest Speaker who is from the Youth constituency, DG PPBA Sir Joseph Lengmans in his paper, challenged the Youths to uphold cultural identity of its neighbors as ethnicity is purely an identification of a people and diversify ways of bringing Youths together through entrepreneurship and Talents hunt while taking advantage of ICT.


The Royal father of day, who was nickname Timekeeper was in the venue of the occasion before anybody also lend his voice for Unity by narrating the history of Jos natives and the hitherto stressing the fact population explosion has led to resources control revolution but however warn that since land can not be grown like population, only self respect for one another can give birth to peace within our societies.
Goodwill messages were received from the chairlady of the occasion, Hon Surv NGO Esther Simi Dusu who Acknowledged the important role played by the outgoing EXCO and she is very optimistic that the incoming EXCO will improve upon what is already laid down.
The only House of representative member who honor the invitation, Hon Rwas Dachung Musa Bagos through his friend, Mr chuwang Pwajok reiterate the honorable member’s Team, Equipping the next generation. He said that it goes beyond a slogan. He challenged the EXCO to design programs that will make them tap into the slogan.


The mother of the day, who was described as the Engine Room of the Youth constituency, Ngo Sarah Dagah-Pam, who present her good will message in a paper presentation also challenge the Youths across board to see entrepreneurship as the only way out of poverty-stricken society, she called on the Youths particularly the new EXCO to be bridge Builders so as to have a peaceful Plateau.


The father of Honor who double as the patron of the group stressed the need for forgiveness and restitution. Where one has wrong the other through forceful or outsmart should dialogue and holistic restitute the relationship.


Highlights of the day was the swearing of the five man EXCO to be chaired by Comr Song Muru Aten Youths National president by the Oath commissioner, Barrister Awang Agwom.


In his Acceptances speech, the chairman, Comr Song Muru made it clear that indeed a great task lies ahead as the will work hard to bridge some known hostilities among neighboring communities that has lived for decades such like that:
Afizere-Berom Aten-Berom
Anarguta-Berom and irigwe-Bache among other.


In his vote of thanks, Chairman planning committee for the inauguration Comr chinge Dodo the irigwe national youth President thanked all the invited Guests and the royal Father of the day for honoring the invitation admist COVID-19 daunting challenge.
