REP. SIMON MWADKWON, PH.D VISITS BECO COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL KWI, UNVEILS N50 MILLION EDUCATION INTERVENTION TO THE INSTITUTION

To fulfill his passion and commitment to quality education and human capital development, the Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency Plateau State at the National Assembly, Rep. Simon Mwadkwon, Ph.D on Saturday 13th June, 2020 visited the BECO Comprehensive High School situated in Riyom LGA.
During the remarkable and historic visit, Dr. Simon Mwadkwon commended the leadership of Berom Educational & Cultural Organisation (BECO) for the visionary and purposeful leadership it has been dispensing.
Dr. Mwadkwon and his entourage who were warmly received by the Executives of BECO under the leadership of Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop decried the deplorable conditions of the citadel of learning.
He disclosed that he included N50 million into the 2020 Annual Budget for infrastructural development of the School.
“Let me make a pledge, as long as I am in the National Assembly, I will continue to make provision to this School yearly in the annual budget” Rep. Mwadkwon said.
The Federal Lawmaker lauded the tripartite Berom Organisations (BECO, BEWDA & BYM-A) for their efforts geared towards enhancing unity, growth and development of Berom Nation and urged them not to relent or be distracted in their responsibilities.
He charged them to continue to work in unity in order to take the Berom Nation to an enviable height.
He applauded Wunato bi sa (a progressive Berom Group) for their visible contributions to Berom Nation urging others to emulate them.
Dr. Mwadkwon promised to continue to provide quality and effective representation that will bring positive results to the people.
“I will continue to legislate, lobby, provide democratic dividends and result-oriented leadership to the people”
“I am here to identify with this School, BECO and the Berom Nation by extension and to assure you that we will give greater attention to education, infrastructure and economic development” he said.
A highly elated BECO President, Da Gyang Dudu who could not hide his joy while receiving the Legislator and his entourage described him as a selfless Leader whose concern is the interest of the people all the time.
Da Dudu said the track records of the Lawmaker from his days as BYM President, Executive Chairman Riyom Local Government Council and Member of the 7th National Assembly depicts him as a people-oriented Leader. He appreciated him for being the first to visit the School among key elective Office Holders in Berom Land and lauded his contributions of N2.5 million few weeks ago to the tripartite Berom Organisation.
“You know the needs, plights and yearnings of the people and always avail yourself to address them” he said.
Da Dudu thanked the Lawmaker for always being with the people and for the passion to better their lives. He lauded the Lawmaker for factoring BECO Comprehensive High School in the annual budget. Da Dudu also commended the Lawmaker’s humanitarian, infrastructural and economic interventions to the Berom Nation and his Constituency. He applauded the strategic effort deployed by the Lawmaker in unifying the Berom Nation and engendering growth and development in the Federal Constituency he represents.
Da Bot Fang, the Principal of the School appreciated the Lawmaker for the kind gesture and said if completed, the proposed project will enhance the level of education significantly.
Among the entourage of the Lawmaker were his Chief of Staff, Pharm. John Chun, other Aides and Members of his Directorate.
