COVID-19: Gov. Lalong Applauds Civil Servants in Fight Against Coronavirus Pandemic

LALONG APPLAUD CIVIL SERVANT IN FIGHT AGAINST COVID 19

Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong has appreciated the sacrifice made by officials of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee and the Medical and Health Union for suspending the implementation of National Minimum wage because of COVID 19 pandemic.

Governor Lalong gave the commendation shortly after he received items from officials of Union at the old Government House Rafiel,in Jos.

Receiving the preventive items which include hands sanitizers and water dispenser, Governor Lalong assured that his administration shall reciprocate the sacrifice made by the civil servant in the state.

Represented by Secretary to the Government of the state professor Danladi Atu,Governor equally applauded officials of NULGE and medical and Health workers for their collaborative efforts in the fight against the pandemic.

Governor Lalong explained that the nation is at war against a dangerous enemy and all hands most be on deck to successfully prosecute the war.

Governor Lalong called on other well meaning Nigerians, organization, cooperate bodies and individuals to come and forward their contribution and support the fight against COVID 19 pandemic.

While donating the items separately, the state President Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee Samson Mafuyai and Chairman Medical and Health workers Selkur Stephen said the gesture is their own little way in appreciating Government in the fight against COVID 19 pandemic.

They assured the Governor that the Union shall continue to support any initiative of Government to contain the spread COVID 19 pandemic.
