HON. NANVEN NIMFEL MOURNS THE DEPARTED PLATEAU SOUTH SENATOR, H.E SEN. IGNATIUS LONGJAN

The inevitability of death is an irrevocable irony that accompanies mortality yet it stinks lives in us especially when an epitome of leadership is lost.

Permit my inconsequential arrangements of the order of placement in this dormy as it is occasioned by my disrupted mood, for having thought time and space were kind enough for us on the Plateau to have identified a workable and selfless leader, yet the cold hands of death has caused us more grief than the anticipated joy.

His Excellency, Senator IGNITIOUS DATONG LONGJAN was a personality to live and reckon with due to his down-to-earth humility and human sympathy.

It is painful though that in less than a year in office, death has short-lived the good plans you have for Plateau South senatorial district making me equate you with the late Yar Adua. I am convinced that if your roadmap leadership qualities and plans are to be adopted, Plateau state and Nigeria at large will blossom in no distant time as you were against partisanship and religious bigotry.

As you take homage with the creator, I besiege thee to as a guardian angel, continue to intercede for Nigeria.

Indeed a hero has fallen and the sky is dark commemorating the darkest moment on the Plateau but lo and behold, as a sacrificial lamb, you have paid with your life the utmost price of redemption for our dear nation. Rest ON Sir
