The Nigerian Army Women’s Corps movement from the 31 Artillery Brigade on Monday conducted a free medical outreach for residents of Minna, the Niger State capital.

During the medical outreach mosquito nets were distributed to the people, free medical screening were offered to them, while free eye testing and issuance of free eyeglasses, dental and other related health care services were provided for the residents.

The leader of the movement, Lt. Col. Susan Dibal, said the medical outreach would improve the relationship between the Army and civilians in the country.

Dibal said, “Our doctors are here to attend to everybody on their ailments and if possible we will refer them to hospitals where they can be treated if we cannot handle it.”

The leader added that her team had visited 26 cities in the country, noting that the free medical outreach would end on December 23.

She, however, appealed to young girls to join the military to contribute their quota to national development.

Medical services were offered freely by officers and men of the 31 Artillery Brigade and the Nigerian Women’s Army Corps at the Kure Market, Minna.
