HON DACHUNG BAGOS COMMISSIONS BOREHOLE AT LAMINGEL VILLAGE IN JOS EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

Lamingyel is a very remote area in Maigemu district of Jos East local government, that has continued to suffer a lack of basic amenities, like electricity, health care facility, no source of clean water, no good road, and have to endure the challenge of having a wide river that obstructs the villagers access to other areas during raining season.

Help came recently when Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, intervened quickly by solving their most pressing need which is clean water.

Before now the people have had to share the same soure of water (a river) with their livestock.

On Thursday 6th June 2019, members of Team Bagos from Jos South/East led by Hon Mrs Sarah Agog Garba where there to commission the borehole. They were received by members of the community who were in high spirit, joyous and thankful for the prompt response by the Member-Elect

Adagwom Azi Agada – the Adagwom of Lamingel, Da Afan Ibrahim – the Galadima of Lamingel, Da Ashom Azi – the Madaki and other chiefs of Lamingel also graced the occasion.

In his good will message, Mr Dembo Azi, the PDP chairman of Lamingel warmly welcomed the guest and expressed gratitude to Hon. Bagos for his compassionate love for the people. He also thanked him on behalf of the party. He iterated “I really appreciate the guest who in brotherly love agreed to go through the hectic task of crossing the river and getting wet even up to their waist just to get here. We do not take that for granted.

We are proud and confident of our choice of Hon Bagos to represent us. We know he shall make us proud.

I’m also pleading with the wife of Hon. Bagos to please remember our women as she reaches out to women in the constituency.”

The PDP Women leader of Lamingel in her remarks, expressed appreciation to Hon. Bagos and prayed that God will bless him abundantly. She also thanked the guest for bearing the stress while crossing the river. She added that the women were longing so much to see Hon. Bagos but he was unavoidably absent.

She took time to tell how times have changed and how people are now enlightened. They support leaders who work for the people.

To crown it all she pleaded thus “We plead for more intervention from our leaders. One of our greatest needs as women in this area is a health care center as women suffer alot during child birth.”

Hon Isaac Arin, former member PSHA, who could not hide his joy, eulogized Bagos and showered prayers of blessing on him. He also said, “I like people to keep to their word. We are confident that Bagos will represent us as a strong voice and that he’ll do more projects in this constituency”

Mr Francis Gimba who spoke on behalf of the quest from Jos South also expressed his joy at the relief this project will bring the people. He urged the people to continue to pray ceaselessly for Bagos, that God will spare him for greater expliots.

Hon. Mrs. Sarah Agog Garba in her good will message extolled Hon. Bagos for the laudable project. In her words “Hon. Bagos is God sent, to save lives and put smiles on faces. I have never heard of someone who is yet to be sworn into office yet commissioning a project. I am highly impressed and touched because he did this and many more when he was yet to receive any salary or allowances. It shows that he actually contested this election to do more for the people. He is indeed a leader with the people at heart.

To our brethren from Jos South, we really appreciate this unity and show of brotherly love. Let’s continue to work hand in hand and be there for each other.”

After a series of music and dance display by men, women and youths both from Jos South and Jos East, the borehole was then commissioned by Hon. Mrs Sarah Agog Garba.

Speaking on behalf of his chiefs, the obviously delighted Adagwom of Lamingel lauded the kind gesture. He said “Words fail me. I don’t know how to thank Hon. Bagos for this project.

One thing I also like about Hon. Bagos is the calibre of people in his team. I’m proud of our son Mr Brigade for tabling our plight before Hon. Bagos. We pray for God’s sustainance and blessings upon his life. May God protect him from danger and may he attain higher heights.

To our brethren from Jos South, we really appreciate your coming. As you journey back home, please extend our warmest regards to your people. May God grant you journey mercies back home.”

The community then presented a gift of a goat and honey as a token of gratitude to Hon. Bagos for this kind gesture.
