A retired Permanent Secretary Plateau State Civil Service Mr. Isaac G. Wadak, has emerged the new Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) Jos and District Society, at the election held after the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Institute, yesterday, 30th of May, 2019.
The election, which took place at the Conference Hall of Plateau State Internal Revenue Service (PSIRS), in Jos, the Plateau State capital, had in attendance members of the Jos and District Society.
Mr. Isaac Wadak, speaking on behalf of the newly elected Executives, thanked the immediate past EXCO of CITN and the Electoral Committee for a job well done and promised to take CITN to the next level.
“The former EXCO, Electoral Committee, Professional colleagues, I want to thank you very much for giving us this confidence that we will take this particular institution to the next level. We have heard the report of the former EXCO, we will dwell on it and we intend to continue from where they stopped. We will come out with our own innovations and work towards the success and development of the institute”, Wadak said.
The new Chairman of CITN, Isaac Wadak (MBA, FCNA) is also, currently the CEO/Advisor of Integrated Business Consults.
You would recall that Mr. Isaac, retired as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Planning Plateau State in 2015.
Prior to that, he was the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Plateau State. He was also under the employ of the Plateau State Internal Revenue Service, where he rose from a Higher Executive Officer to become a Director.
He is a member of various Professional bodies, which includes:- Fellow Certified National Accountant (FCNA), Associate Member Chartered Institute of Taxation, Chartered Tax Practitioner (CTP), Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and Member Nigeria Institute of Management.
Other elected members of the new EXCO of CITN are, Ganan Wash-Pam as Vice Chairman, Yakubu Dauda Mama as Deputy Vice Chairman, Reuben Amos Dadar as General Secretary, Evelyn Choji as Financial Secretary, Nanre Haruna as Treasurer and Kumfi Yunana as Publicity Secretary.
The immediate past Chairman of CITN Jos and District Society, Dan-Philip Hirkop, in a word of advice to the newly elected EXCO, urged them go the extra mile and surpass his achievements.

“My advice to the new EXCO is that they should go the extra mile to surpass our achievements. Jos and District society has come a long way. We are well placed among the best districts, as far as performance is concerned.
“I urge you to show much more commitment, so that you can sustain and surpass the achievements of my EXCO”, Hirkop advised.
