BPM Extends Humanitarian Gesture to Crisis Victim from Jol, Riyom LGA

Succour has reached Mr. Dachollom Mancha, a Crisis Victim who was attacked, severely wounded and left unconscious by Herdsmen in Tarai Community Jol Ward Riyom LGA, Plateau State from an apolitical group of Professionals christened ‘Berom Progressive Minds’ (BPM).

Mr. Dachollom Mancha was attacked in Tarai Community on Monday 18th February, 2019 close to his house by Armed Herdsmen who came rearing their cattle.

Dachollom who was referred to Jos University Teaching Hospital from Vom Christian Hospital where he was taken after the attack.

He was attended to and discharged but hadn’t a wheelchair to effect his full discharge from the Hospital as the attack affected his spinal cord.

Leader of BPM, Da Gyang Dudu said the group swiftly intervene with the wheelchair without hesitation to give the victim a sense of belonging.

He said it was their own way of assisting the victim after the issue was brought to the attention of the group by a member of the community.

He said the group has intervene to the Internally Displaced Persons through relief materials and medical outreaches in the past.

He urged spirited individual to always look out for such situations as many are out there without any form of assistance.

Da Dudu said the group is planning to visit the victim again to encourage him.

Cmr. Friday Bako presented the wheelchair and cash donation to the the victim to alleviate his condition.

Mrs. Tabitha Choji who received the Wheelchair thanked BPM for the gesture saying the family will not forget them.

Mr. Dachollom cried uncontrollably while appreciating the group for coming to his aid. He said he didn’t know where he could had gotten it considering his condition.
